Had fun hunting with Neal...

Met up with my buddy Neal. We did some door knocking. First old farm house, the lady looked mad and scared to see the two of us. I told her our hobby and asked if we could detect her front yard. Still looking mad and scared, she said yea go ahead! Then she added that she had just gotten off work and was going to sleep. We had the yard to ourselves. You just never know until you ask!

I pulled four pieces of modern silver, an IH and about 14 wheat backs plus some clad. I haven't found four silver coins in a day for a long time! Neal didn't get as many coins but found a real nice two cent.

We headed to another spot, a corner school site. The owner said he knew some people in my hometown with the same last name. Come to find out he knew my Dad when they were in school. He let us hunt the old school site. I only got a button, three wheats and a round ball. Neal did better getting a token, wheats and IH.

Then the rain came and we were done. We had a great day.

I like guys with guts ! Good hunt !

Considering that private homes are some of the last virgin spots to hunt, it may be a good idea to "suck it up" and go knock on some doors.

Nice finds !!
