Wen't to an antique bottle show. Seen no fewer than 15 people from our detecting club.
Bought 2 bottles for my collection, bought another one for my buddy Ron who I went with. He didn't spot this little medicine bottle, but it said pain killers on one side, vegetable on the other, and Davis on the front. That is his last name. It was about an 1880's medicine bottle, and you should have seen how happy he was when we got to the car and I gave it to him! :)

Here are the two I bought for me. They are 5 1/4" tall and 4 1/2" tall.

This one has embossing on all sides. It is an 1890's bottle.
It says: For Making Rootbeer At Home - Hires Household Extract - Manufactured By The Charles hires Co. - Philadelphia, PA. U.S.A.

Almost forgot! I didn't get to see it, but there was a bottle appraised at the show at 12 - 16K!!!! A rare Kalamazoo bitters of America! Wish I had a cse of those! A guy recently got one from a person set up at the mall for $12.50 and sold it for $8,000.00 :)
