HAD MY FIRST BIG PROBLEM WITH MY XTERRA 305 TODAY CAN ANYONE ANSWER THIS?

TOOK MY 305 OUT TODAY AND FORGOT MY HEADPHONES BUDDIE OF MINE LOAN ME HIS RATPHONES PLUG THEM IN AND COULDN,T HEAR NOTHING HE TRY THEM ON HIS TERSORO THEY WORK FINE I TRY THE ONES HE WAS USEING NOTHING NOT A SOUND GOT HOME PLUG MINE IN THEY WORK WHATS THE DEAL I HAVE THREE PAIRS DIFF BRANDS TWO WORKS ONE DON,T THERE ALL 1/4 ADAPTOR ONLY DIFF. THE RATPHONES AND ONE PR OF MINE ARE L SHAPE MY OTHER TWO PRS ARE STRAIGHT IS THIS TRUE FOR ALL XTERRAS OR IS SOMETHIG WRONG WITH MINE
 
You needed to reverse the cable ends on the ratphones. Some detectors jacks are wired in parallel, others in series. Some headphones have switches that you flip to configure.
