I can't begin to tell you what an experience it was to start our first Sunday as Living Faith Christian Church... We normally had an attendance of 500 to 600 for two services in our old building. There was some concern about not being able to fill the new building for two service as it holds around 600. However, in two services, we had over 1,100 attend (a LOT of new people). Last night for the dedication service, they had to bring in additional chairs to accommodate everyone.
God did some really amazing things to make all of this happen; miracles really.
The verse above the baptistery is this:
Ephesians 3:21
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
This verse has been used for the last 20 years or so in our journey to obtain at least 5 acres of property (in an area where there IS no property to be had) and build a new church building with basically no money at all, except for the value of our old building.
Someone asked Pastor if the he thought the verse was "providential"... turns out yesterday, the day of our very first service, was March 21st.
