...and burn off some of my winter fat. Did a lot of walking and found some old homesites that I have permission to hunt. Still snow on the ground but at least it's hard enough to walk on top of.

Well, Dave , You`re waiting to hunt because of weather and I might be sgut down because of it too. So dry and I could not dig a plug this morning. Concrete hard dirt! I get a new detector and as soon as I get really going, the spring decides to hold back it`s rain for 2 months..SHEESH !

dave, those are some nice looking sites. looks like too much work for these old bones. here's hoping all your finds are gold, silver or a hundred year old relics.

Nice pics Dave, that place looks awesome. Keep us posted. Can't wait to see what comes out. Good luck. Joe.

Did you take the SE with you? You could always mark the signals and dig when the ground thaws. Just a thought. They look like great spots to detect, hope the finds are many.

No, I did'nt bring any detectors. Marking spots sounds like a good idea though. I was also looking at possible sites for indian artifact finds. I have'nt looked for arrowheads in many years, but thanks to my local friend Jim I have been thrown back in the game. It's easier to find them on natural beaches, but I am more interested in where they camped and fished on the rivers up here. It's going to be a fun summer.

Wow, that does look fun...
& walking creek banks looking for stone tools certainly makes for summer good times...
Awesome pics of the melting great white north!
