The professional hit man's name was Artie.

He was hired to kill some guys wife. Artie was to be paid $10,000, half up front. When he asked for the down payment, the husband asked if he could just accept a lower down payment until his wife's insurance paid off as he really didn't have enough for the down payment. He only had a dollar.

Needing work and the income, even though he had to wait, Artie agreed to the $1 down payment and warned the husband he too would be killed if he tried to not pay him.


She worked at Wal-mart as a night shelf stocker. Artie decided, instead of just shooting her, he'd catch her in an empty aisle and strangle her.

Just as he finished strangling her, her supervisor came over and saw her last death throws as Artie finished the job. Artie couldn't let the supervisor get away so he chased him down and strangled him too. About that time an off duty cop saw what had happened and arrested Artie.
