Happy Birthday Brian!!!

Brian turned 15 today at 8am. Carol called from work and asked me to hold the phone up to his ear so she could wish him a Happy Birthday. The poor guy is so worn out from another rough night that he feebly nodded his head and gave her a thumbs up.

Sunday, Carol had a couple of Brian's best buddies, Stephanie and Garrett, and his cousin Justin over for a small birthday celebration but Brian fell asleep after a couple of hours and didn't wake up until they had to leave.

It won't be much of a birthday for him.

Happy Birthday buddy!! We love you more than you'll ever know.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY 15TH!!!! Love ya Brian and praying for you and family! Keep your faith and keep giving us inspiration, that no matter what, we can still lean on and trust in Jesus! You have great faith and I know the Lord hears and blesses you in more ways than any of us could possibly know, although, at times He may seem far away, just know He is always close for He lives within your soul and will never leave nor forsake you! Brian was in pain, as usual, and didn't get to enjoy it much. He did get several gift cards and a boat load of cash so it looks like a trip to the mall is in the near future. He wanted to try and go today. He wheeled into the kitchen and said he was ready but he needed to put warmer clothes on before we could leave. He hung his head and big tears rolled down his cheeks and he slowly turned and went back to bed. He just wasn't up to it. We are going to try again tomorrow.

Thanks for the birthday wishes,they brought a smile to his face and I couldn't ask for a better gift than that. You are all very special to us.

Today is a new day and it is hoped this will be a better day for Brian. He has been through so much and know he deserves a lot just for his perserverance and faith in God. He is remarkable even when he is weak we see the strength of God shine through. I think we would all pretty much agree that we would do anything we could for Brian and yet know our best would still be less than Brian deserves. We do know Brian has treasures stored up in Heaven where it is safe from the world destruction of rust, moth and thieves who steal.

We can never fully see God's plan in the hardships Brian goes through (and the rest of the family as well) but we know whatever it might be we know it is for His glory. We will never know how many lives have been touched by Brian yet we do know that in knowing Brian, even as little as we do, that he is an inspiration to us.

May today be a better day for Brian in Jesus name. Amen.
