Same to you Ron and to everybody else. I did sneak out for two hours. Nothing worth posting. I got heckled and gave back better than I received. The young man made a few idiotic comments and I replied with a much more clever and fouler come back that had the heckler fuming and his friends rolling on the ground in laughter. I then told the boys that being nice doesn't cost them anything and we kissed (figuratively) and made up.

The hostess who's dinner party I was planning to attend got the swine flu so it was cancelled so I went out this morning and bought a turkey and other fixins. I came home to find two other invites on my machine but I called with my regrets and decided to stay home, catch up on a few chores, watch football, and relax.

You can stop calling yourself a newbie (we called the nubs in the Navy.) Haven't you at least progressed to journeyman or apprentice?
