Hard Case for ATX

New member
Can I purchase the Military style hard case by it self as I purchased the ATX in the soft case. I could not afford the Deep seeker package but would like the hard case to protect my ATX while traveling . And if so where and how much? Thanks, ezdave

They are not listed on the Garrett website.
Try contacting Garrett at Toll Free:

1-800-527-4011 (USA/Canada only)

If they don't sell it separately, they may tell you the manufacturer for distributor. Let us know how you make out.

Called customer service but never got a reply. Local rep says no cases available yet and cannot even get a price yet. So will wait as there is no other choice! ezdave

Might want to check into this one. Looks like the same case in black.

The Condition 1 - 100839 Watertight Black Large Case with Foam ($130) looks like a better fit as you need at least 2" on foam all around the item you put into one of these boxes (Per Condition 1). It also has the 4 lid latches that the 100801 does not.

See Condition 1 Cases at:

Best prices I have found,

Garrett just got back to me and the hard case is only available with the Deepseeker package. Not as a separate item. So it looks like the Case from Condition 1 # 100839 posted in the above post is the way to go. Thanks for the info on the case WaterWalker ! ezdave

I ask today when I ordered my coil cover. She said when ever they get them the price will be $199. But they have no idea when they will be in stock.

Maybe that is why they haven't shipped the Deepseeker package? They can't get the case? This is getting somewhat frustrating now. Why did they release a brochure, product specs, etc.-even allow the dealers to pre-sell them and not have a good game plan as to when they would ship possibly because of a supply problem with the hard case???

This is beyond frustrating. In 40 something years this is by far the most disappointing shopping experience I have ever had. 14/11/13 to feb 2014 and still waiting. At least you guys in the states are getting some info. Garrett australia is not say anything at all. Should have stuck with Minelab those guys know how to treat customers over here. No matter what Garrett do or how good the product is I could not recommend them to anyone after this.

I wish the soft case was designed as a backpack. It's a pain to have all the weight one one shoulder, then the other when hiking in to detect. Then after setup, I don't leave anything behind, so I must single sling it behind by back as I detect, kind of a bummer

I agree. Total B.S. I'll give them until the end of the month and then my order will be cancelled and I will get something else.

If Garrett cannot effectively run a business I dont want their product anyway.

What's most annoying is Garrett has said "nothing" at all about the DSP date. Keeping people in the dark like this for so long is going to "kill" their business. They could "at least" post "something" on their website as to why their is a delay and not the usual "canned" response customers having been getting who have talked to them.

Theirs nothing more irritating than people willing to pay "good money" for a product (and Pre-Ordered) then turn around and get treated like a bloody mushroom. This is so far off in "Left Field" for Garrett to be acting this way.

It's been "Long Enough" of a wait Garrett, tell your customers whats "really going on here". I don't mind the wait as long as I know it's for a good cause, but we don't even know that.

I'm think'n maybe I'll just get the AT Gold instead. Just a frustrated thought.

:)

I just found Phillycase, com on the web...I doubt there is a more extensive hard case listing available. It is worth a look at.
Carry-on for most carriers are limited to 45 inches H+W+L and 40 pounds. (L is typically: 22-24 inches W: 14-16 and H makes up the remainder)
Just keep in mind that most airlines will charge an oversize fee if your checked baggage exceeds 62 inches H+W+L and weighs over 50 pounds.
I had a hard shell golf bad that was wonderful for all my water detecting gear including my scoop!
I checked before a trip a few years back and was informed a fee of $75 EACH WAY will apply even if it was my only piece of checked baggage.
For that price I bought a scoop that broke down and a hard shell suit case and saved $$$$.

I got the Deepseeker package, the case is really nice, but its far from waterproof. Mine does not shut fully in one corner, hoping some hot sun time will smarten the lid up. Otherwise really nice case, great latches.
