Hard time in S.Texas

It has been a long, hard sanded in time here in S.Texas. Have been put a couple times with no good finds. I do have some of what I found on two hunts. Seven rings, two are junk and five are silver one of which is an Avery. The gold has been soooo long in coming. I just hope it will be on the bottom when fall gets here. The knife was great to find, but as big as it is I could have found it while still sitting in my truck.
Also, there is a picture of my Excal. This is the one that went in for repair as an Excal 1000 and came back an Excal II 1000, can't beat that. I am working on a straight shaft, and hip mount.

WoodWizard, Hi, actually the wheatie is a 1947 from a dam keepers house from the early fifties. Had found silver there years ago and other trinkets and thought since I was in the area I would give it another try. I need to work it again, there is allot of trash and I believe the good stuff is under this trash.

pulled a 3 hour hunt today for 1.67 in change. But the bottom is good and hard, not all sanded up like last year. Going to try again in the morning. Wish some rich people would come down to South Texas and lose some bling.

BayRat, I must have all your sand over here this year. I remember last year when you mentioned your area was sanded up and ours was not.

Kevin, what we need is a good old hurricane to move some sand out.
Dont look like it is gonna happen this year.
Hasn't even rained enough to keep the grass green around here.

I have been sweeping the dry sand at North Beach in CC quite regularly and have not found very much this year besides junk jewelry and pocket clad.
Same even in the water out to chest deep.
Just not much being lost there I guess.

Yea Willee, I know, I was in the water from the showers to the last condo to the north for about three hours. Not hardly even a sound from a bottle cap it is so sanded. I did find three quarters, one dime, and a chucky cheese token. All that and a handful of pull tabs for a good three hour hunt. Been so dry I can't even hunt my land spots. At least the future will be brighter.
