Hard times, but worth it

For all those going through hard times - some words of encouragement. The Lord says He will take us through hard times to improve us in His eyes. I think back to the many trials & tribulations I have gone through in my 66 years of life and sure am glad I am where I am today. The old saying comes to mind "I'm not where I want to be but sure am glad I'm not where I used to be".

I know it's hard to perk up under trying times but slog through it and the Lord will lift you up after it's done & you have passed the tests.
And isn't daily life one test after another ?

So many of my friends have been laid off lately. The advice I gave them is to use their time wisely. Yes do look for employment opportunities, but use the rest of your time ministering to others. Work with youth, volunteer at a Christian school, hospital or prison ministry, offer to teach a Sunday School class - or better still, write some good materials for SS classes!

Make the most of your time and your talents.

Oh, lest I forget, take sometime for you and your metal detector.....

Ive seen so much negativity during the past few monthes, I think its time for some positive! Its time to look toward the Savior, not man! Material things come and go, But Jesus love is forever, with his blood we are redeemed, redeemed by the blood of the Lamb!

What would life be without tests and trials???....Probably dull and we sure wouldn't know and grow with Jesus, as our own personal Savior, as it is in the troubled times that we cry out to Him and He hears and answers our prayers!!! Thank You, Lord for all You have done and still do for Your children! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Thanks, Steve, from Cliif and me! Cliff is so happy to be home and I am also glad he is here and Princess, his cat, is very happy that he is home! :) God Bless! Betty
