Thinking about just up and doing it..cabin fever....taking a hacksaw and a file, shouldnt take more than 15minutes...they catch all sorts of wet grass and sand and snow, and make it especially tough to swing the coil in the water...streamlining my 70 today...
dont know if any wires run through them (I doubt it)....or if there were just intended as supports during the molding and assembly process?
Hopefully, one of you has tried it, or Dave J is online monitoring us to keep us in line..
...And no, I have not yet been drinking today!

-----I agree with you, those "halibut coil" fins are a pain--other than that & the fact of where the rod affixes to the back--it's a great coil.---Oh yeah--the "ears" are too thin also & the rod which you can't use washers on grinds grooves into those ears--but fast!---Other than those minor inconveniences--it's a great coil!-------What was it we were talking about Mud???
