to detect their property?

I have been thing about this for awhile but came up empty.
I thought about an announcement in a newspaper, church paper, on line, etc .
Has anyone been successful in doing this and would like to share?
Thank you

I have thought of advertising a Metal Detecting service in the local paper and charging a fee to do searches for specific items. If I see a promising property I just knock on their door and ask permission. Takes a little time to do that but I have never been turned down yet.

Another idea is to have a few business cards printed, advertising your retrieval service

for lost rings, jewelry, keys, etc, and pass a few cards to your friends and neighbors.

and on notice boards at your local stores.

Good Luck.

I contacted realtors in the area to let them know that I would be willing to locate "lot markers" on properties they list for sale. Lots of folks want to know where the boundaries are, other than the marks from a lawn mower! As "payment", I get just permission to detect the remainder of the property. As with all the private lawns I detect, I always ask before hand if they have lost any personal jewelry. If they have, I will also return it if I find it. But the rest of the stuff I find is mine....... pull tabs, bottle caps, nails, foil, wire scraps...... and of course the coins! HH Randy
