Has Anyone Found any Masonic Items? :pulltab:

Teach

Being a collector of masonic items I'm wondering if any of the folks here have found any such items? I would be interested in buying any suitable items like pendants, pins, rings, necklaces and other regalia. If you have found something masonic or know of someone who has I'd sure like to hear from you or them and what you have found. If your not interested in selling perhaps you could show me a picture of what was found? All possiblilties. I'd appreciate them all. Thanks everyone.

I found this coin this spring at a One Room School house site. It sure is a interesting coin. I took it to Mansfield Ohio Civil War show and showed it to many vendors, they had 750 vendors. None of them had ever seen one like it.

Found it using my X-terra 70

What strikes me as unusual about that coin is the fact that it looks like the face is stamped from a mint but the back looks like it is hand engraved. Very unusual piece. Thanks for posting a photo of it. Very cool!

That's a fantastic coin. My late step-father was a mason and had lots of stuff like Teach mentioned. Sadly, it was all stolen. He had a beautiful ring and even his mason's bible was taken. I think it was a bible, not sure.

SOMEBODY DID A BEAUTIFUL JOB OF ENGRAVING ON YOUR COIN , THANKS FOR SHOWING IT TO US . IVE NEVER SEEN ONE DONE LIKE IT , GOOD LUCK IN YOUR HUNTIN ...

What you mentioned as a bible is probably the handbook of a Master Mason.

Hey Teach,
There are many instances of coins having the back ground/polished smooth and engraved.
They range from love tokens, to business tokens or whatever was in the mind of the engraver.
Warm regards, Jim

Thanks Jim, that is very interesting and the first I have ever heard of the practice.

That is a spectacular find! I once bought a box of coins at a flea market that contained quite a few Masonic Pennys. I Ebayed them and each sold for between 15-35 dollars. I suspect that half would be very valuable to the right collector. The engraving is beautiful. Thanks for posting the photos, I enjoyed them.
