Has anyone had luck detecting the muddy areas between rivers and the river bank

I tried it yesterday. It seems like theirs a ton of big trash and its a huge mess to dig in. When the river is high do coins quickly become buried deep or do they wash down river? Maybe certain parts of the river uncover coins instead of buring them.
Has anyone one out there had luck in river mud?
Thanks Bk

A good question BK..I hunt a State Park that has a good sized { River-Creek } running through it. I have found some good things...but NEVER from the "high water" mark down to the water. And I have hunted it when the water was really low...still "nada" Don't know...HH Lamar

Pure mud is a bit difficult to walk on let alone to detect. However sand, small hard areas and other similar surfaces can be very productive in the UK.
