Has anyone mentioned that the depth meter, which is super accurate, quickly updates in pinpoint along with the TID at the same time unlike the SE...

which only updates the TID in pinpoint and the Explorer II and XS which does neither so the E-TRAC does have some extras that can be really helpful. So you can pinpoint a target in unbelievably accurate fashion coordinating the smartfind crosshair with the TID numbers and the depth meter together...almost 3 D in a way :super:
 
Hi Chris, Read the manual on the train tonight on the way home from NYC and I was VERY impressed with the new depth meter - looks like it has resolution to an inch or maybe even half an inch! Huge improvement over the existing depth gauge - it's also much bigger. Also the visual element of pinpoint mode looks wonderful too.

The scale is in 1" increments from 0" to 12" . . . . . . the moving animation switches to indicate depth once a target is detected.
