Has anyone tried a Fisher F2 coil on an F5?

I was just curious if it would work. I know the Omega coils can be used on the G2 and the khz are pretty far apart. They are much closer on the F2 and F5. Or are they so different inside that it wouldn't work? Any info would be great.

Thanks,

Shane

Don't quote me, but all the sites I have checked out that sell coils the F2 and F4 have their own specific coils that will interchange and the F5 has it's own selection too...so probably not.

Read carefully Dave J's sticky post at the top of the Gold bug forum on using Greek/GB coils on F75s. I don't know of anyone who would have more knowledge on this subject. If you have one try it, if not get the right one for it. Can't do better than that, right?

Why???.....honestly don't think so and give Fisher/Tech a call before you try one as really don't know but always the chance it could damage your F5....

I saw one vid on youtube where the guy was doing some testing with a f5 dd coil on the f70? i think or visa versa i dont remember anyhow it worked he said he didnt see any differences in the way they worked he said maybe a # or 2 differences but nothing much different.
