Has anyone used the Teknetics Arm Straps on the T2 ??

Has anyone seen or used the Teknetics Arm Straps on the T2,its a Teknetics official product but have never seen one over here in the UK,even the main importers have never heard of them either.

Would love to get one,i did buy a neoprene after market arm cup cover that had a Arm strap built in,but did not work all that well and you could never do it up tight,so in the end i cut the strap but left the arm cup cover still in place. Its more comfortable than the normal arm cup but its the strap that i am after.

So why is this showing on the website in the US but we cannot get one over here in the UK,its a mystery as no one has ever seen or heard of one,

After winning the recent Teknetics competition in the new year, rather than receive a shirt and a cap a Arm strap would have been nicer   :ukflag:

I have used them on other brands of machines and never saw much benefit. Plus if you want to set the machine down while you dig, you need to pull out from under the strap and then insert your arm under the strap again. If you are working on a stubborn target or multiple targets in a small space, it quickly become a pain. If the T-2 was heavier I could see more advantage to them, but the T-2 is so light to begin with.

I think it would be more useful around water so you don't drop it in the drink.

Thanks folks for your input and suggestions,as a general rule most of my hunting is either done on pasture or ploughed and rolled fields over here in the UK also for these large areas of land i tend to use the larger SEF15x12 coil.Yes i would agree that the T2 is not a heavy machine but with the large coil on when deep hunting it can get a little heavy especially when swinging all day.

So basically what i use is the 'Detecting Buddy' harness the same as used by the Garrett ATX and also have a neoprene are cup cover and of course i hope to be able to locate and purchase the Teknetics Arm strap,as a result of having a serious bike accident nearly 40 years ago i do have a little trouble swinging a heavy outfit.

But by having the right accessories such as the harness and armcup strap it means i can detect all day long on pasture on some of our roman sites.

Well according to the main importers of the Teknetics range of products i am the only one that has asked for one of these Arm Straps and one is being sent over on the next shipment,so all though its not the best looking strap on the market it works. So it will sort out alot of problems.

Cannot get out anyway as its still raining and the ground is water logged and farmers wont allow parking on the wet fields, its not really stopped since christmas.

You do know that the T2 arm cuff is made so you can bend it to have a tight fit on your arm?

Mine clamps onto my arm snugly. I can't imagine a need for an annoying arm strap.
