Id love to do some water hunting ,but dont wanna buy and learn another detector. If i could convert my se backup to work in the water thay be the way to go.Thx for any input.

It can be done but it's a pain in the azz! Once you do it too it will be more cumbersome to yield on land. I highly suggest you buy a water proof model. I say this because I looked into a while ago but after seeing what you have to do and what the end result was it is much easier and practical to just go out and buy a water machine.

Thats what i needed to know..Ill have to grab a used excal when i can..I think the water in my area never gets detected..Plus its hot!Hunting in the water sounds great :)
