Has Tesoro gone under ?

I have read that Tesoro has closed up. Anyone hear anything ?

Most say yes but one dealer says no and that he has just started selling them.

I would think that someone would buy the business or perhaps on of the other detector manufactures would buy it and continue to produce them.
Right now their website only shows one detector and has no other pages or links.
Those who profess to be in the know say Tesoro has shut its doors and is no longer in the business.

Sad to say it but from some of the tests I saw with those machines pretty much seem to be a bit behind in RD..
I'm sure they have a place for people but nowadays detectors improve constantly and if your slow to respond you probably will get passed by..

Yes that was their major problem. They were built as a beep and dig machine. They did their job well and they are light as a feather and well made with decent discrimination. But people want bells and whistles. I loved the company myself and it is an all time favorite name brand of mine.

But if they made just a few little changes to their units or even another model with 2 tones or even a meter unit, I believe they would still be kicking. Their deleon and cortez units had a screen and all but man was it small. I must admit, I too like the big TID screens, backlight and depth meter myself.
