Have any of you been following Glen Beck, the rally he had and what he has been doing lately.

Seems he is moving more and more in a religious direction and I was just wondering what you all think about it.

I like Glen Beck, for he seems to me to have Common Sense and knows what is going on spiritually in our nation and most of it is caused by those who're supposed to be leading our nation and not forcing unwelcome laws and etc. upon us! May God Bless and protect him, as he leads the Conservatives and helps more to register and get out and vote for righteousness! Amen! Ma Betty

He has been using Mormon doctrine lately. While at trhe Restoring Honor rally, he made a statement but I can't quote it. It went something like, the things that men say are scripture just like the sciptures of the Bible. Remember this is not exact. Mormon doctrine says that men can attain to Godhood so any man can speak scripture. At that point with this blasphemous statement, I about lost it. He also had non-Christians on the steps with him. No, the unsaved and the saved can seek the same earthly goals but not the same spiritual goals. Do not be mistaken, he may be religeous but he definately is not Christian. The word "charity" used in the King James bible was the best interpretation they had for the greek Agape. It is God's all-encompasing love not a co-equal with donating to a worthy cause. Test the spirits with scripture as Christ did with Satan. Also keep in mind that Beck is Mormon, Limbaugh does not have any affiliation and Hannity is Catholic. All three men have asked the Conservatives to forget the social issues, abortion, gay marriage, etc and just vote for those that are going to uphold the Constitution. Well a candidate may try to uphold the Constitution and still trample God's law.

Thanks Paul, as I didn't know about all this, but we do need to vote for Conservatives and, hopefully, they will be Christians believing in Jesus and God's righteous way! We need some better ones in there than is in right now! I don't like Muslims and Communists running our country nor do I want to live under the Shariah Law nor my loved ones! Wow that's a hard statement. Judge not least you be judged. I know you are saying that you are judging by scripture. I totally believe Glen Beck is a Christian and a very Godly man and I believe God has chosen him for a work in this day and age. Doesn't at all mean he is perfect. None of us are but God will use us anyway if we let him. People want to put God in such a tiny little box and it just can't be done. God uses many different things and many different people to do his work. And then that particular work is just a little tiny bit of a whole work that God wants to do for his people. This country desperately needs leaders to bring it back to our grass roots and I truly believe Beck is one of those leaders. Doesn't mean I agree with his church, maybe some things he may say etc but he has the place and the ability to bring people back to a vision of God first in this country. And he definitely KNOWS God....my spirit bears witness.

come together, put aside their doctrinal difference, and just promote GOD in this country. We have lost so much religious freedom and just the promotion of GOD in this country that I think it it wonderful when you can see hundreds of thousands of people stand together in this great country and promote GOD. I think that is what this rally was about and I wish I could have been there. Mormons, catholics, Protestants , everyone just coming together to lift up the name of almighty God. This country needs this so badly. And Christians need to put aside their differences and lift up God.

II Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their Land.

Oh how this nation needs that and it is the Christian responsibility to come together for this great nation.

I am an Australian and watch these events from afar. I know nothing of Glen Beck except for that which I see on his programme.

I like what I see. He is calling people back to God, he associates himself with true evangelicals, he calls himself a "recovering scumbag", he testifies that he has been a "liar and a deceiver". These are the words of a man who has a new life. People come to know the Lord from a variety of backgrounds. We start our Christian walk from wherever when we are when converted to Christ.

Once we know the Lord we will, bit by bit, come to better know His ways, and will move on in the faith. The Lord can call us whilst we are a Mormon, a Buddhist, a Moslem, a Baptist, a Methodist, an atheist, or anything else. The Light shines in our hearts, we are "born again", the Holy Spirit reveals truth to us; we see ourselves in His light.

Suddenly we realise that we are "scumbags and liars and cheats." This is the work of God in a heart. Unregenerate people do not see that of themselves. As we grow in Him, and our understanding of His word and ways, we may eventually realise that the particular group we are currently in does, or does not, truly reflect the Biblical faith. One that growth comes we are able to move on in newer ways that may be more pleasing to the Lord.

But brothers and sisters, let us not stifle that growth in the man by criticising him unfairly. He is acting in the best way he knows and, to my mind anyway, is trying to honour the Lord and call the people back to God. It is not right to judge the man by WHERE HE BEGAN HIS WALK with the Lord. If that is where he was when the Lord called him, then that has nothing to do with me. Glen Beck HAS started that walk - let us love and support him and watch him grow.

I think that there is a wonderful movement of God happening, and it seems to me that God has chosen Glen Beck, whether we approve of his background or not.

Australia is every bit as wicked as the USA. I would be very pleased to have Glen Beck, or anyone else, call Australia back to God. It is the Lord's work, and He alone is capable of doing it, and He chooses weak men and women for the task. And their background will inevitably not please everyone.

St Paul was a murderer, a liar, a legalist (in modern speak perhaps a scumbag and liar and deceiver) and God called him whilst he was all of those things, and more. And look how He changed Paul, and how many years it took to do so, and finally used him for the glory of God and the spreading of the Gospel of His love. I hope that that is what we are witnessing now in the USA, and I pray that it will happen here in Australia too.

It is not my desire to sound harsh towards those who have made criticisms of Glen Beck. I understand that we are all doing our best to honour the Lord as best we understand His ways. With sincere hearts we do see things differently and I recognise that, so please don't be offended if my opinions differs from yours. My aim is just to put another view for your prayerful consideration.

Amen, C Nyal de Kaye....my opinion exactly and I pray that Revival will break out in America and Australia and bring us back to the heart of God Jehovah our one and only God in the name of Jesus! Amen! God can use anyone or anything that He wants to get the attention of the people and I believe He is; even BO and his cohorts to bring us back to Him in prayer and with faith in Jesus! Sometimes, it takes someone like Obama and his followers used of satan to get more people's attention and I sure believe he has through Glen Beck and others who are praying and doing good by joining in with the Tea Party to get Conservatives voted into office with the old ones out who are rooted in for too many years of being elected over and over and both Dems and Repubs is what I'm speaking about...too many are bad apples spoiling the whole bunch who are in the White House and Congress....too much money and power and, therefore, too much greed!!!

May God give us the spiritual knowledge, power and strength to do what each of us needs to do to take back our nation from those who want to enslave us by taking away our monies and dictating what we can and cannot do in our own homes and country! May America remain free for the worshiping of our God Jehovah and be merciful to His own and our loved ones in Jesus' name I pray! Amen! When I was growing in the Lord, I watched TV preachers and ordered their tapes while I was seeking more and more of Jesus and God's truths! Most of them I don't even listen to any more nor listen to their tapes, for I've grown and listen to those whom I choose and believe more like I do....but many were stepping stones until I gained godly wisdom and could read and understand the Bible, myself, through God's Holy Spirit's leading, Who leads us into all truth! see how far in the wrong direction this country is going and it's causing people to have the desire to turn back to God. It is stirring the hearts of luke warm Christians who otherwise would have gone on in their careless ways. I thank God for what I see happening in America. It is a start in the right direction and God can and will use whoever he sees fit to use.

Yes, Theresa, and He used a Whale to get Jonah's attention and a donkey to get another to wake up! In fact, it seems and feels like He used a 2X4 and hit me between the eyes to get mine....but Praise God, even though I believed in Jesus then, I truly know Him as my own, personal Savior now....Thank You, Jesus! Everything that happened in my life led me to where I am, today, for serving my Lord, faithfully, and helping others to spread Jesus' gospel! I am so sorry that there are those who do not know Him like we, God's Children, do, for He is so Awesome and Wonderful! Amen! Ma Betty
