Have you ever?...

Known someone who has spent a lifetime of accumulating 'things'? Someone who has created their own 'personal' god and says "Oh he would let me do anything - He is a loving god". Someone who now has lost all her 'things'. Those 'things' mean more to her than people...her own family. Someone who is now incapable of remembering anything for more than 10 minutes? With dimentia, her memory is sliding away. She lives in a mursing home because she cannot care for herself - almost burnt her own home down and is losing her home due to financial problems she no longer could do. Well over 100,000 dollar home being repossessed for back taxes and loans not paid back. She is angry. She has no money. She has none of her 'things' to comfort her, except a piano...she loves music...but she can never find where her piano is (2 rooms down from her own room) at the nursing home. It is sad she will die and be eternally lost because she never accepted Christ and now she can't.

Have you ever stood in the gap in prayer for a co-worker, one who smoked continuusly and one day did not come to work. In intercessory prayer I stood in the gap for him asking Jesus to take him Home with Him. Jesus replied "I am sorry. I cannot. He never accepted me. Never accepted my offer to have eternal life. I am sorry. He cannot be here."

Have you ever seen a couple boys (brothers) fighting for what each thought was right? Tried to separate them, to reason with them, to get them to see things from a different point of view...such as how if there dad would see this what wouldl he have done? In the 50s and 60s, both would get correction. Both would be spoken to and physical correction and both made to apologize to each other. A tough way to learn...through the correction via ones seat of their pants - but it worked. Have you seen correction and punishment these days? There is no understanding, no correction - maybe a 'time out' in a corner. The corner is a 'get out of my face I do not want to see or hear from you right now. Go stand over there and shut up til I say you can leave".
Ah the things this form of correction solved (or created). What was learned was not correction - just someone who lords over them 'puts them in their place".

The Lord Jesus will put all in their place either Heaven or Hell. It pains me deeper than any of you can understand or even comprehen. My Mom, my Dad, my step-mother, my Mother-in-law, my co-worker ... all unsaved. All to perish under the law of sin and death. No prayers can I make to save any of them. They made their choices.

Right now I have been hurt once again by standing in the gap to show God's love for all of them. I believe I failed. I cannot post here until I can overcome the pain of all these things. It troubles me deeply that even one should perish. I cannot stand in the gap for anyone now - pray one for another as I cannot. I have to seek healing for my own spiritual wounds.

My prayers are that your healing will take place soon. I know that the our great Heavenly Father will heal you very soon!
You are part of this family and part of the body. Don't let the devil win! he will be happy if you no longer post!
Give God the glory and stay here and continue to pray with us, fellowship with us, and share in the great things that we do here!

God bless!

Mike

God bless you, Pete, and I pray the wounds will heal and you will be back with us very soon and doing the work of our Lord that He has called you to do!
