do not give up! Sister Latta called me today, and we and her loved ones and many others had been praying for those who aren't saved in her family! Judy is her oldest daughter, and had been saved and filled with the Holy Ghost as a child, but had grown cold in the Lord and not living like she knew she should! She lives in NY and knows a lot of the upper class people playing sports, having free tickets to go to shows and sport events while living with her boyfirend for 20 years! They were in a common law marriage, and she had 2 marriages to fail and did not want to get married, again! On the day of their 20 years of Common Law marriage, they were married for real by a Judge! Still not attending church and boyfriend unsaved! He is 62 and has found out he has Melanoma...surgery done and supposed to have got it all along with other health problems...his heart, I think, as I don't remember what Sister Latta said but he is saved now and had gotten ready to go to church the Sunday of his salvation and told Judy that he wanted to go to church services, but Judy like most women could not get ready for church in only ten minutes, so he asked her if she would go with him the next Sunday and she said she would! They didn't know where to go, as neither had been to church for a long, long time, so there was a little church not far away that they had heard of and visited it and he just loved it....Spirit-filled and using the gifts of the Lord! So, now he has been to church for 9 straight weeks and going together they have been for 8 straight weeks!
One Sunday they were supposed to go to a sports game, for they had free tickets, and he said know I am going to church! He is truly saved and on fire for Jesus and this will help her to get back to the Holy Ghost-spirit filled salvation she was raised up in and had been away from but knew that she wasn't living right! Bro and Sister Latta loved them...didn't visit them as they wouldn't stay all night with them as long as they weren't married....he told Judy do you think they will come and visit us now? Long ways from IL and Bro and Sister Latta are in their 80;s but get around like spry, young chickens!
They also kept praying for them and while attending services we prayed for them and then in our homes, the same as I pray for my lost loved ones!
Now, they are on their way of serving God by worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth....so theirs and all our prayers were not in vain! Keep loving them and praying for them and you will see them drawn to Jesus' loving light like a moth to a candle flame and then turn their lives over to Him by accepting Jesus as their own personal Savior!
Sister and Brother Latta are so happy and I told Sister Latta as we were talking together that she sure is elated high in the Lord and blessed with the knowledge that Judy and her husband are saved and back where they need to be! He went to church as a child, but don't think he did any other time!
Keep praying for the lost and those that we love and see the power of God's salvation grace work miracles and the saving of souls are miracles! Amen! May God Bless our loved ones to know Jesus as their own personal Savior before it is too late, for when we mortally die, it is too late then to be ready for eternal life! Amen!
