head to head

Ive been thinking of either getting a whites mxt or the minelab safari I'm interested in beach, and park hunting specifically mostly beach which do you think is the best looking to cover lots of ground and of course the magic bullet, depth .

Both are very good machines. The Safari will out perform the MXT on the beach, hands down. Also will reach deeper in most situations. Just need to learn the different tones. You will need to hunt a bit slower with the Safari, but not as slow as some think.

Here in the Safari forum we recommend the Whites. If you had a Safari you'd be competitive with us and well.....:minelab::clap: :whites::rolleyes:

Let us know what you get and how you like it.....

I'm a newbie who is doing as much research as I can ....From what I understand , when it comes to beach hunting , you will be needing lower frequencies that most machines have a problem with .....The Safari and the E-trac have multiple frequencies that are automatically selected by the machine ..... When a machine can opt for the best frequency for a given soil/sand type, I would think that it would have the advantage ....My guess, and it's purely a guess is that the Safari would win this fight ..... Again, this is my take on it .....Take it for whatever its worth coming from a newbie .....Jim
