Headhunter PI and Goldquest comparison....

I am trying to chose between the goldquest ss (water resistant) and a headhunter PI (water proof). which would you chose and why? there is a 150 price diff between the two according to my best canvassed price. Is the headhunter pi (15 us) severely handicapped vs. the goldquest (10 us)?
Is the new surfmaster pro from whites already at 15us ?
Thanks in advance for your advice.

I'm no PI scientist but I have owned a HH PI and currently own a GQ Aquasearch.I found alot of old and deeply buried gold(mostly rings) with the HH and the GQ has been no disapointment.Yesterday I got 3 gold rings at a beach I have hunted a few times with the HH.The GQ was able to pick up my best ring to date yesterday buried in about 18 inches of sand in salt water. It weighs 25.3 grams and is at least 22k.You will not be disapointed with either detector. As to what the limits of each machine are I honestly can't answer that one,but I will tell you it takes a little time and practice to get the full capabilities of the detectors to work for you.Hope this helps in some way..Nelson

The Goldquest SS is $800. US., and is water resistant. (The waterproof Goldquest is called the Aquasearch and cost $1450. US)
The Headhunter PI has a price of $699. List. Sell

Hello JT,
We'll have to get together in the near future, Seems like we keep hunting on different sides of the Santa Monica pier. As you know, I own both the GQ and the HH pi. The headhunter Pi is not for everyone. The GQ with the 11" coil is currently the best pi here in California for the price they are going for. The adjustable SAT speed on the GQ helps the unit operate well under difficult ground conditions and Eric's mono coils are the best made coils in the world..
