They don't have a clue what is is like to work and live in the real world. I mean, have they ever had a real job you go to and put in long days and weeks and you buy your own stuff and cook for yourself, if they have, then it has been to long ago to remember, If she "purschased" those shoes within the last 100 days, then it is more likely the taxpayers paid for them.
