Headphones for Cibola

I have tried most of the different brands and really like the Jolly Rogers made by DetectorPro. They sound great and seem to fit my head the best, very comfortable, single volume knob (which I prefer) and not as expensive as alot of the others. Steve.

I will recommend the Killer Bee STingers, especially if you hunt in parks etc, where you want to hear some of what goes on around you--so that no one sneaks up on you...They're also quite comfortable.

The stingers are what I want to get now I have the single knob version and the dual knob ..... both are great headphones but the stingers would be a little cooler too durring the summer. great for hearing what goes on around you as well as stated above. you never know what might be sneaking up on you while detecting.... it's best to have one ear open for those situations in this day & age.

...I second that, very happy with mine, great fit at a fair price.

If you don't want to scare them away with price ... I like the Koss QZ 99 phones. Can be at your door for about $40 including shipping.

The audiophile reviews say they are a little short on the bass. For metal detecting I think they are great. Crisp mid and high range mean you can hear the clipped and wavering edges of a beep pretty well. They are a little heavy due to sound isolation. They isolate outside noise very well. A little hot when the temperature gets hot. I think they present to voice of a Cibola pretty well and, for me, fit very comfortably (no ear pinching).
