Headphones not working with my minelab e trac.

if they work with other things there may be a switch for mono or stereo. most detectors use stereo but there may be some that use mono. i've only used the sovereign and the explorer and they were stereo. good luck.

As Chuck says some detector are stereo and some mono and some headphones have a switch to switch for one way or another. Now if it works on another detector you have and has the switch and it still don't work with the E-Trac then you will have a broken wire in the cable and will have to have the cable replaced. If it don't have a switch for mono and stereo it can be made that way as they will work automatically like my Troy Pros are as it will work on any detector. The biggest problem I have seen where they will work on one detector and not another has been a broken wire in the cable if the mono/stereo switch don't make a difference.
