Been waiting on the unit to arrive, since mid summer. Ready to get out for the maiden voyage and see how she runs compared to the Excals. I am really excited about the unit!

I'm sure you'll be kick'n butt with it as soon as you get it. Keep us posted. I use to go to the Fisher Lab all the time when it was in my home town in Los Banos, Ca. I had a Fisher Coinstrike for awhile, I am looking to buy my first water machine but don't know which one to buy since I will be a beginner in the water. Congrats on the new CZ !!!!

I think you'll love it. Although I haven't been able to give my CZ-21 a good try out, it appears to be very similar to the CZ-20 I used to have. If so, it will be a great machine. You should learn the machine quickly as it has a shorter learning curve than the Excal from what I've been told. I suggest chest mounting it which is very easy to do as it is a bit heavy. I managed to get the Fisher chest harness free as an incentive from the dealer I bought the detector from. Looking forward to hearing your opinion of the 21 after you've given it a real good workout. Happy hunting!

I can build a whole custom house in that amount of time. I sure hope it will be worth the wait.

Cheers Mate,

Hey GH, let me know how the Anderson shaft works out.
I just got a CZ20 to add to my water hunting collection!

Thanks and HH!!!

GH, I have always hunted with excals and am interested to read about your finds with the CZ-21. Looking forward to hear your opinion on how it works for you. Good luck and keep us posted

I will let ya'll know. I have never used a CZ20/21 before, so I hope it is a favorable experience. Looking forward to it!

Gulf,

Im sorry you had to wait so long, I'v had a brand new one in the box at my store for a month on the shelf.I diden't know you were looking for one. Sorry Gulf.

Hope that you enjoy it as much as I like my CZ-20. I will never part with mine. I did like you said and will pick up my excal-2 maybe today. Hope that it can keep up with the 20.
Will be sending you a PM soon.

whats the cz21 - i had a cz20 for a few months but the lid came loose and water got in - when i came out the surf it had more froff coming out than the head on a dutch beer.

No worries, I deal with my local dealer on Fisher. He only handles Garrett, White's and Fisher though. I buy all that I can from him, because he has been there for me since the beginning and takes great care of me.

Hello Barnacle! The CZ21 is the replacement unit for the CZ20. From what I have heard the cover gasket has been revised to eliminate the leaking issue. Did you ever attempt to revive the unit or did you just bury the little bugger?

Is this your 1st Excal Sandpiper? It has a little learning curve, but you'll get the hang of it! Are you buying it from Joe DeMarco or your local dealer or what? Lemme know if I can help you with it. Read cjc's Excal book too, great read! There should be a link on the clssifieds to get a copy. Thanks again for the CZ tips.
