...ok you made me do it, went and dug out the big junk box <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
A couple of buckles, one in much better shape than the other, but identical items.
Found a one listed tonight looking for Royal's rosette... <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug">
 
I seem to be finding quite a few civil war relics. <img src="/metal/html/shrug.gif" border=0 width=37 height=15 alt=":shrug"> This stuff seems to have much more value when it is dug in Virginia though. <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)">

This is a Confederate Calvary heart embossed harness buckle cover. It was found in Sandy Run, SC.
 
And they would make the perfect gift for valentines day!LOL!
 
That is one that I have seen misattributed four times in the last year on forums.All those objects are not confederate roller buckles.You can find them up until the 1920's-30's for sure.They attach to a harness and have a leather strap that has horse brasses hanging from them. <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
