The LTD wanted to hunt after a few days of rest and hunt it did. It was a rain shower shortened outing, but did manage a few fun targets from a piece of woods I hadn't hunted all that much. Came around a bend in a path and near the end of a down log got a mid tone 57 reading. Kicked some leaves away and spotted a gold band laying on top of the ground. Swung the coil over it and it read 28-30. I thought hmmm and swung over the leaves I had kicked and got a 56-57 reading again. Moved some leaves and spotted the HEART OF GOLD SCNH PIN. Don't know if the gold band was affixed to the pin as it doesn't seem to fit all that well. Under my loop, though, the band is marked 14k. About 2' away got a small, but nice high tone hit with a 74-76 reading and from about 3" deep popped the 40 Merc., which, I believe was on edge. The rest of the targets come off trail out in the bush. 1 of what I thought were 2 dug tokens turned out to be a RED RYDER LUCKY COIN. The Citizens Bank piece is a Divot Fix-er. SCNH could be a volunteer pin for The SKATING CLUB OF NEW HARTFORD, or, SOUTH COAST NURSING HOME, or, CABRINI CARE NURSING AT HOME. 11" coil with 85 sen, disc 0, 3-4h tones and a gb of 63. HH jim tn
