Heart Skipped a Beat

Well-known member
When I pulled this ring from the ground. OMGosh, I was ecstatic. I went over to Larry to show him and something wasn't quite right. It didn't have the weight to it like a gold ring should have. Come to find out, it's stamped .925 and gold filled. I'm still very happy about the ring find and it does have 3 tiny (and I do mean tiny) diamonds on it. Oh, it's probably a size 12 aka HUGE!

My other finds were the wheat cents and an advertising thimble OHIO BUTTERINE CO CHURNGOLD, Cincinnati Ohio, and then a LOOK Savings Medallion.
Thanks for looking and HH!

Ohhhhhh! My heart would have skipped a couple beats as well. At least it isn't a junker.

Thanks Rich. Even though it's silver, I'm very happy with the find.

Nancy, have you used the 6x8 SEF coil ? if so your thoughts/comments, etc. Any SEF users, jump in here.

I've been considering one Frank. It is highly thought of. You can do a search under the Whites MXT and V3 Forums and get an idea how it has performed for others. The smaller 5.3 eclipse is also highly thought of as well.

Thanks Elton. I love finding the old items and would rather have that than finding a piece of silver. Unless it's a big piece of silver. :detecting:

Yes Frank, I do have one and I really did like it and it's great for separation.

I like the sound of the "ping". If it's a whisper "ping", I love it even more. Something about the high tone "ping", it seems easier for me to hear and discriminate out of the other noises. :detecting:

I wish you the best of luck Frank!

Thanks EJ!
