i was wondering if anyone here is from michigan that uses a garrett ace 250. how does it work for you and does it find nice rings and stuff

Haven't used it much since I got a Minelab Explorer II. It does have good depth (found a 00 - double aught) buckshot at 9 inches). Hadn't found any rings with it...again... didn't have it long before I got the Explorer so it hasn't had much use. It is a very good machine. I had a Garrett GTAx-1250 and it shares a lot of the qulaities the 1250 had and some imporvements too. Depth is comparable, batteries in the 250 are 4 AA as opposed to the 8 the 1250 used. Its lighter than the 1250 was too...I had the 1250 for over a year of use and sure miss it,,,even with the 250 I still miss the 1250. It did have more notches so more versatility.

You're down around where Mike from MI is from...do you know about the Southwest Michigan Seek & Search club? Mike is the President. An excellent detecting club and great people.

BTW welcome to the forum

I'm from down near Kalamazoo. You should come by our club meeting in Plainwell on the third Tuesday at 7pm. We can talk more. There are several guys who use the Ace 250 that attend our meetings. Check out our club at swmss.org

God bless!

Mike
