Hello everyone! They say April showers bring May flowers! Well we should have lots of them, as it has been raining, raining and raining some more! :ro

sent it our way, as we had some today and expect more Tuesday.
God knows what we need.

the hotel has really upset me. When it rains, since the roof leaks all over the place, buckets in the rafters have to be emptied. Some fill quickly..

April 2nd was the last day I worked there. The boss passed on a message that maintenance would be on an 'on call' basis. Though I am the maintenance guy, I went in yesterday to find they had called the other guy in to set up tables...work I should have been called in to do. I see the sign by the street had been changed too...again work I should have been called in to do. The other guy they hired through the winter to help him out financially. He does well drilling for a living. So spring is here and he is drilling wells for people AND taking my hours.

He supports himself and 2 dogs. I am now trying to support a family of 4 (Sherry, Casey, Leelan and myself) plus 11 birds, 4 dogs and a cat - with no income.

Grrrrrrrr. As the Martian on Bugs Bunny used to say "That makes me so mad".

I actually was told....2 weeks now without pay that I could have filed for unemployment and had free medical as long as no one in the family has an income. I thought unemployment was for full time workers...so far only once did I get more than 40 hours in one week.

I am at a point should the bank decide to close the doors of the hotel, I would not care.

Feel like I have been kicked in the teeth.

Nope, Mike, me son, we didn't send the rain your way, for it rained here most of the night and still looks like more rain a coming! :) I told Cliff, because we didn't have much snow to soak into the ground during the winter, we need the rain for the water table, but not so much all at once! God is good and we'll have some beautiful flowers I hope! God Bless! Betty

Amen to that and I hope it doesn't turn too hot and humid when Spring does get here for sure! Summer is difficult for Cliff and I to get through, for it's way too hot most of the time! Prayers to you for safe traveling and happy hunting! God Bless! Betty

I am thinking about putting fish in my yard ,because there is water standing everywhere.

Well, I know what you mean, 7centsworth, as lots of water around my home too! There is a large pond or small lake that forms in the Common Ground when it rains and rains, and we get to see a Mallard and his mate! She is brown so more difficult to see against the mud and brown in the grass! Also, had a small white stork or crane out there and that is the first time I have seen one of those in this area and I've been here since 1974! Wish I could have taken pics of all of them! God has made a beautiful world and rain refreshes everything, but too much sometimes doen't do any good for animals or people! :) God Bless! Betty

Been cool, wet & wetter, here and me poor ole bones ache from the dampness and stays too dreary for me, but each day still is the day the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it....whatever the weather! :) God Bless! Betty
