Just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone here and introduce myself.
What a great forum and "family in Christ" you have here.
I'm located in West Michigan (Grand Haven) and enjoy detecting the beaches and parks. I'm a husband and father of two boys (12yr and 14yr) and I'm also facing a HUGE challenge in my life. I have only been a Christian for a few years so I guess you could say "I'm still wet behind the ears". Hopefully I will be able to absorb some of your wisdom.
I hope to be able to post some of my finds in the near future. See ya around, Pete
 
Welcome to the CMD Forum family, SDPete....we have another Pete, so I will call you that for ID purposes.! We are glad to have you with us and if you have any questions on Christian faith or MD'ing...just ask! There are many on here who are great detectorists and believers in Christ Jesus! Studying the Bible, diligently, is the best way to learn and know the truth for yourself and this way you will be able to separate the false teachers and preachers from the true believing and knowledgable ones! Please do post pics of your finds....we like to see what others are digging up and there are many on here from Michigan, including our other Bro Pete! Mike from MI is our forum moderator and lives in Michigan, too, as well as Bro Martin and many others.....I think Michigan has most of the other states beaten on being a part of our forum....some post often and some don't! Congrats on your family of two sons and May God Bless you and yours! Amen!

I am an older lady on here and am called Ma by those on the forum and and have 3 children and gobs of grandchildren and great-grandchildren! I love Lord Jesus and have attended church most of my life, even rode on a wagon to church pulled by two horses and guided by my grandfather! But I didn't get truly saved and on fire for Jesus, until I was in my 50's and going through a very terrible divorce in which God got my attention and has worked in my life more so since serving Him like I should have all my life, but it is never too late until our bodies stop breathing and our spirits go back to Jehovah, Who gave us life and crated us in His image! Amen! Ma Betty

Being a newer Christian I'm sure I will have some pretty dumb questions...so bare with me please.
Ma - I will try to sign my post "SDPete" for you since there are others with the same name. I can already tell I will learn a great deal from you!
Mike (Michigan) - I always wanted to check out that club but it is a good hour away and I can never seem to get my act together. I have met Al though. He sold me both of my machines, a Tiger Shark and Vaquero. His a very nice fellow and I love checking out his shop.

There are some decent folks here. You already know that the only dumb question is the one not asked. Be prepared, as always for slightly different interpretations and points of view. Then let GOD show you the truth.
