Hello from Missouri......Would you believe we have had sunshine for a change....Cliff and I....

cleaned the leaves and old plants out of the flower beds Monday! Yesterday we both had our eyes checked and WHEW has the price gone up for glasses! I didn't get any new ones because only some change in my long distance seeing and I don't drive that often, but Cliff paid $113.00 a year ago for glass lenses and photogray and etc. the same as this year! He ordered the same glasses but with plastic lenses because of his needing thick lenses the glass is too heavy! This year they cost almost $400.00...now they have more than tripled in price! I can see if it were more than a year....but jeez that much increase in just a year! Ridiculous! Plastic lens or even cheaper than glass, too! Oh well, hopefully, he will be able to see and wear them better than those replaced!

How's that for price increases???? I'm sure glad I didn't get a new pair....my one-year old ones are just fine!

Cliff mowed the front lawn today but wore him out, so I don't think either of us can work in the yard like we used to do! He wants a home with acreage but neither of us are able to take care of very much land! He wants to go hunting and fishing, but I think his mind says he can do it but his body says differently! A person doesn't want to admit they cannot do things like they did when younger! Oh well, we will just have to do what we can and forget anything we can't do!

Hope all are blessed and well and finding the goodies! I know Joe is! :)

Enjoy the spring weather! My Dogwood is about to burst into white blooms! Lots of blooming flowers and trees and the sight of their beautiful colors is absolutely awesome! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for all you've created for us!

God Bless!

If I didn't have glasses, I wouldn't be able to do ANYTHING. I can't see a blessed thing without them.

You wouldn't believe what mine cost :) At this one eye place, people pay up to $3,000 (not this boy :) ) for sunglasses (fancy designer ones of course). :) Can you believe that???

Yep, Bryce, it is raining here today also! Rained most of the night and today. Still looks like more rain and supposed to rain tomorrow and maybe into the weekend! All this rain has made a big lake size pond in the Common Ground again and we have a male and female Mallard back swimming in it! We usually have dry land or a small pond but lately it's been like a lake! It will drain into the ground after it stops raining a few days! Buuuuuuttt with all the raining we've been having, it will take longer and the grounds are saturated! Have water on top of ground as it has no place to go!

And Mike, me son, maybe OPEC is involved, as it takes oil and gas to make the world go around! If not used in the materials than it takes both to get the supplies to the customers! Grocery prices keep on going up and up! The gas prices raise 10 cents at a time and saw where the Shell Station price for gas went down a penny! Big Deal!!.
Oh well, we will survive for we have Jesus and He never leaves us begging for bread!

Gee, Joe, I wouldn't pay $300 for sunglasses let alone $3,000! I guess most people are richer than I am and gotta stay up with the Jones or the latest styles!
All I can say is: God please save those who will be saved then come quickly, Lord Jesus! Amen!

God Bless and Happy Hunting! Go for the earthly gold and the eternal gold of God's holy realm!

Thanks Paul and yes, hopefully, Cliff will be able to see much better with his new glasses....the ones from last year kept slipping and falling off! They were glass but fell on the concrete once and scratched the glass which is less scratchable than plastic! I have always had glass lenses and never had any problems with them being scratched, but mine aren't as thick as Cliff's...his left eye really needs a thicker lens because of scarring in his eyes from working at Midas Muffler for years and using a welder! He wore glasses on the job but still got burns!

Hope you, your family and your daughter, Michelle, are doing okay and she is feeling better! Praying for all of you!

God Bless!

Thanks Mike.....Was sunny this morning but then cloudy off and on but no rain! Yes, that is why so much bankruptcies and forclosures on homes! It is plain old greed!!
It makes a few people richer and then destroys the workers who are trying just to make a living or Senior Citizens who live on SS retirement! But our God is Greater and still in charge!

Praise Him, Praise Him, for He is worthy to be praised!

God Bless & go get the gold and silver and other goodies! Happy Hunting and safe travelling!
