Talked to Guvner a couple days ago and he said you guys were still tearing up those ghetto parks. I checked out your posts - man those are some neat coins. I'm in a pretty bad old-coin withdrawal down here <img src="/metal/html/wink.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=";)"> I've got 1 roosy dime so far this year - a recent loss at the beach. I've got a few gold rings so far though, but they just don't help cure the "old coin" fever much.
I do have a 2 month old baby boy who just about cuts my hunting time down to nil, but as soon as he can hold a detector in his hand, we'll catch up on some lost detecting time! He's doing pretty well so far - and he is just about the best reason there is to take a sabbatical from the coinshooting life <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">
I've got a couple old spots to try here... just never seem to find the time. Meanwhile I check up on the nice finds here once in a while and dream on...

Yes this Spring has been VERY good to us in the Ghetto Parks!
I was amazed at how many Silver coins we have pulled out this year!
The Iron just keeps getting smaller every year from ROT and lets more coins ring thru!
We have not even touched on your park that much so I am sure there are more there for us to find also!
We already have a couple of Road trips lined out and are Kind of HYPED about doing them!
You know how much fun it is to do a LONG HAUL RAID!
Keep in touch and show us some of that GOLD you have been digging up!

I'm glad to hear things are going well for you! I'm sorry about the old coin problem, but I guess if you hit the right beaches at the right times, you could find some REALLY old stuff! In the meantime, how about some pix of the gold you found?
Young'ns do take the time away from you, for sure, but it'll seem like no time at all before you're teaching little Jacob how to pick the good signals out of the trash!
