:help:Connecticut copper found..help

My Friend found a Connecticut Copper with his T2. He's pretty excited since it was only his third time out . We can't read the Date . I checked the Red Book ,the three coins that look pretty close to it , are the 1786 copper Draped Bust and the 1787,and 1788 Draped Bust Facing left . But it's not exactly like any of them . Would any one know what year it is . Thanks for you help .

I am almost 100% sure of the year based on the markings with the stars on the Reverse, but have not identified the variety yet, still looking.

1787 Maris 33.13-Z.7 variety, Rarity 5. My son and I attributed the coin, I then sent the photos to some colonial coin collector's who verified that the coin is in fact that variety.

I am attaching a photo containing two coins that are also that variety and the photos are from an auction catalog Dec 2006.

Overall a nice find and nice to have in anybodys collection.
