I found this thing in the woods today,it is approx. the size of a quarter
 
With the cat on the fence and the women standing there first thing I think of is witchcraft...d2
 
Just a guess, but based on the style of dress she's wearing, I'd say circa 1915-1930. It's a piece of costume jewelry or maybe a Cereal premium. Nice find, David @ Dixie <center><a href="http://www.dixie-metal-detectors.com"><img src="/metal/html/d-m.jpg"></center>
 
Front of a dress button, probably late 1800's. Listed in Hughes & Lester's <EM>Big Book of Buttons</EM>, Plate 111, #22, pp. 286-282. Several varieties, with different backgrounds: metal silk, velvet, etc.
