Help Identifying Buckle And Button?

Found These Two Artifacts In Oregon, On Some Farmland Dating Back To The 1800's. I Believe It To Be A Buckle, And A Button But Not Sure. Can Anyone Help Identify Them Please?

Front side of buckle. The buckle is 2 inches in length and 1 inch 5/8 in width.

When My Nokta Makro Simplex+ detects it the id number shows up as a solid 90. It's not magnetic and appears to be silver. (the artifact is still dirty and needs more restoration)

Top side of button. It's about a size of a pea and when detected by my Simplex+ the id jumps around 55 and 60. The button is also not magnetic.

Brass and copper rings up like silver. I dont think that is a belt buckle. Did you use the Lense app to identify it?

Yes I have used the google lens app on it and had no luck. It would make sense if it wasn't silver mainly because it's corroded and has yellow staining in certain spots which silver doesn't corrode.

Lens is 50/50 on identification.

Buckle appears to have a slight curve to it, is it possible its a shoe buckle?

Could that metal item belong to an animal strap? Horse or mule?

FYI I found the buckle and button by an old Douglas fir tree dating back to 1785, I know this because I date read the tree recently the tree is 145 inches in diameter. The area I found the two artifacts was in the Willamette valley in Oregon. I hope this helps!
