Help me, no steady threshold with Goldquest SS V2 ?

Hello,
I have my Goldquest SS V2 today, but for moment I don't have a steady threshold,
You can ear the threshold:

I use alcaline or battery, the cord straight up the shaft,
I put the coil cable in any position on the shaft without succes,
I don't move the shaft, with slow or fast SAT or Min/Max Reject...
If anyone has an idea to solve the problem ?

To start with you left out too much information as to give you a more direct answer. It would help to learn where you were, (location), and did you try this at another location with the same results.
We also need some idea what you mean when you say no steady threshold. A uneven threshold can be caused by many problem, hardly ever is it the direct cause of the detector. It
 
I could never get the GQ to run smooth at my house. Even in the backyard, it was impossible. It is very sensitive to electrical interference. Is it the same at the beach?
Besides setting the GQ for maximum sensitivity, it is my "opinion" that a balance between the volume control and the threshold is needed inorder to run the GQ comfortably.
Set the threshold where you can hear a constant tone but barely there. Dont worry about the threshold fluttering (as in your recording), it is normal for PIs. Then turn the volume down so that variations in the threshold while your swinging are comfortable to the ears. As I set the volume on my Grey Ghost headphones, that is about 4 clicks down from max. This is ofcourse my personal preference. As you develop a flatter swing, you can turn up the volume.
Settings:
Threshold - 11 to 1 oclock
Reject - MIN
SAT - Medium to Slow
Headphones - Grey Ghost's 3 to 4 clicks below max.

I compared the threshold with my Explorer XS and it's not a good idea, it's my first PI <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
I try on dry sand (without black sand)it's an area without electric cable or other electromagnetic waves, no cell phone, no road....
The threshold is too high on the file because it was to have a good record.

I try in my home and on the dry sand the fluttering threshold is the same, I was worried when I heard the
fluttering threshold <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
I have a Koss R-80, this headphone has no volume control and by default the volume is more high than my Sony MDR-CD170, I think to buy a Koss volume control.

Yes, the Explorer being not a PI, the threshold is a lot different.
