Help needed!! How deep does Whites Dual Field PI go?

I want to purchase the new Whites Dual Field Pi but was wondering how deep does it go compared to the Surfmaster PI? How deep does this machine go and is it just hype or is it true? Please give me some examples and your experiences with this machine. Thanks again and hope to hear some good examples. How hard is it to set the machines controls?? Aloha

I have found a crab trap at close to 5ft in the sand. Crushed coke cans at 2ft+. It really likes the conductive properties of silver. I have found a paper thin silver dime on the beach at 10"+. I still want something deeper, but that will have to wait for different technology. In rare circumstances I have found quarters below the 14" mark. I believe they must have been there undisturbed for some time. The 12" coil covers allot of ground fast, but I chose to go low and slow hoping to hear faint signals which happens quite often. I have found one silver ring with it and a handful of junkers. The water here is to cold for swimming. With new batteries in it I notice an inch or more in depth. I hip mount my box and can swing the coil all day without to much trouble. There is "NO" discrimination and no reliable way to differentiate metals so you must have a good big scoop. I bought a stealth 08 and it usually recovers the object in a single scoop unless it is deeper than 12". Dimes can be found at 10" but it really likes high conductors and larger targets. It is a fun detector and simply turn the gain all the way up and turn the threshold till it just give a slight warble when you swing.

Any keen detectorist after a while always looks for the deepest machine (my opinion anyway)it seems to be the one biggest feature every body wants. And the whites surfmaster dual field goes deep, and it is very easy to use in and out of the water.you will have targets that are so deep you will give up on them.If you get one you must get a large scoop(the biggest one available).Worth every penny I paid for it(their is no hype or exaggeration with this machine),its the best detector I have owned in my years in the hobby.
