Help on Mark 1 coil repair

I have a Mark 1 with the standard coil and the 10 1/2". It seems the coil wire on the large coil has broken where it enters the coil (just inside the coil I think) Is there anyone that specilizes in coil repair and maybe could repair this coil wire? I get good depth with the standard coil but I'd like to have the larger coil for the additional depth I think I'd get.Has anyone tried to repair their own coil? I' appreciate any help you guys can give me.
 
possum you could probably send the coil to keith wills. he is the man to see when you have a mark 1 problem. he has a store in texas and you can visit his site at broken detector.com.. hope this helps and have a great day.
 
Thanks Kasparov747, I'll give him a call. I really want to get it done this winter so I'll be ready to detect next spring.
