been hearing the same stories over and over again?people complainning about the service m/l is giving VERY EXPENSIVE,AND THEY DO NOT WORK ON OLDER MODELS LIKE THE EXPLORER AND OTHER OLDER MODELS:nopity:i guess they want you to buy newer ones?anyone have this same experience with m/l?

Sorry ... I haven't had any difficulty with Minelab Corporate whatsoever. As a matter of fact, each time I have called them, they have been very pleasant to talk to and responded with gifts, etc. in the mail. I haven't had to send a Minelab detector in for service, so I don't have a response in that respect. As far as I'm concerned, they're a great company and I will continue to use their detectors.

When they did work for me there was no cost and the wait was reasonable.

I have not had to send m machines in so ??? But I did get back ordered on a coil last year after being sent the wrong one and they sent out a promo pack to make up. Worked for me.

No they will not repair the oldest machines. I have to think it has to do with stocking obsolete parts.

But then look at the fact that Chrysler no longer produces many parts for a 1999 Dodge pickup and if I am not mistaken nothing before 2004 now. (had to do with the DEAL they made with the US govt.)

I never had a problem with my Explorer XS and I bought it in 2000 and just sold it about 3 months ago. It has been one of the best machines I've owned and I found TONS :minelab:of coins with it over the years. It was hard parting with it, but I did sell it for $650 with the stealth coil and the pinprobe so they retain their value well. I will say that I really struggled over getting the E-Trac and the V3i but in the end I went back to the White's. :whites: I hope this helps!
