Found this during a woods hunt with ATP. It is lead. Anyone know if this could be some kind of bullet??..........It is small though.

Denis

Maybe, whats the diameter? Did you clean it? usually when lead is in-ground for a long time it very slowly oxidizes and turns white, that piece appears to have been in contact with iron or high iron soil.

I do not have calibers but the best I can tell...... it is 5/16" in diameter x 5/8" in length.

Thanks
Denis

If it's made of lead, and found in the woods, it's probably a bullet of some sort. It could have been chewed on or swallowed by some wild animal. the hydrochloric acid in the stomach which could have further added to it's shape. The other possibility is a fishing weight, especially if there is water nearby.
