Help with Delta 4000 ?

I just received a Delta 4000 used it has a square transparent film covering window screen and a little bit on face plate is this suppose to come off?
 
None of my teknetics machines had anything like that sounds like it might just have been put there during manufacturing but i would call the factory to be safe.
 
A screen protector? Leave it unless it really bothers you. I put them on my Delta, keeps the screen from getting all scratched up. Just a thought........
