help with this penny........

what do you think of this penny I found today? is it some kind of strike error? at first I thought someone may have pressured two pennies together, so I did a little experiment and put two pennies in a vise and squeezed the vise as tight as i could get it, then loosened it up and there was absolutely no mark on either penny??

do you think it is a mint error??

The reverse side image is pressed into the obverse and would have been done after the mint as the revese side image from the mint would look raised as it would coming from the mint. Raised up as compared to pressed in.
Neat find anyway.

someone on another forum told me to email Ken Potter, I suppose he is some kind of expert ??? anyhow here is his response

"Looks like a fake to me. It's called a "sandwich coin" made from pounding a stack of two or three cents between leather. They take about a half a second to make. I see fakers sell them on eBay frequently. Some folks make them for fun and spend them."
