Help Writing a New Program

I am a new Deus user trying to write my first custom program. I am trying to write a deep coin program. I have tried some of the programs posted online but they do not work as well as I see them in the videos, I am guessing because they work best for the soil conditions they were created in. I am wondering if there is a systematic approach to writing a program. Here is a link to a video of the program I am working on in action. It actually sounds better in the video than I remember out in the yard. The coins only register when swept in one direction. The program is listed below. Any advice on dialing in this program a little better would be appreciated.

Change one parameter at a time and see if the planted coins come in any better/clearer/both directions. You won't lose much if you change to Reactivity 2, for instance. Best thing to do is trial & error in your own soil. Good luck!

What CZ says...figure out one setting at a time. I also like to set up a series of custom programs that a very similar to each other but with minor adjustments to just a couple of settings. Then when you get over a questionable target, just flip through the programs to see if one of those combinations of settings is better than the others.

first your not writing a custom program lol, your changing settings on the built in programs.
lower your disk to 4.5 and set the silencer at -1 or your going to miss a few targets
