Lots of tornadoes touched ground but went up as quickly as they came down in many places which caused trees being uprooted and a travel trailer turned over with a barn damaged! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for sparing me and others from being damaged or killed by the storms, tornadoes and tornadic winds! May God Bless and hope you like the pics! Amen! Black Clouds and storm came again after rain and hail with more rain but went on over downtown and into IL....prayers went out for them, also!

I am glad I am okay, also! Haven't heard from my children so hopefully no news is good news! We have severe storms and tornadoes but happy that we don't have hurricane weather! May God Bless! Amen! :angel: Ma Betty
 
Glad you are ok, Ma. Hope you get good news from your kids soon. Northwest Alabama has just been placed under a tornado watch.

the kids are all okay or I would have heard from them by now....guess they are just too busy working and living their own lives! I call most of the time and the only who calls me rather often is my youngest daughter, Tami! I pray that any tornadoes skip you and decrease in power to not harm anyone! Many have touched down quickly and went up just as quickly here in MO in different cities and in IL. Nothing as damaging as Joplin was, I sure hope and pray! Yes, they were and had spikes sticking out on them! You should have heard them hitting the roof and bouncing off....sure was a thumping and tumbling event! Some places on the outskirts of downtown and north of us got baseball size....now those could and would do a lot of damage to houses, cars and windows! I remember back in 1953 or 54, my ex (boyfriend at that time) had a convertible top and my brother, Cliff, was in the car too and he was hit on the nose by a larger than a golf-ball size hail-stone with large spikes coming through the canvas! A lady and a small child were caught out in it and we let them in the back of the car to keep out of the hard hitting stuff ....we had just come out of church services! I sure have some things to remember whether good or bad! May God keep you and all the family safe from any harms - whatever they may be! Amen! :angel: Ma Betty
 
I was watching the weather channel last night and they were focusing on the Mo. storms. Very scary stuff. Glad you're OK. (man! those are some big pieces of hail!!!)

I was worried about you! We're under the gun all day today through this evening. My prayers go out to all the families who have lost love ones to these storms.
 
MaBetty ... You're suppose to keep all the whilte one's in a pile or box. How can you play the game with them all over the yard? ha! :)
 
Thank you Joe and it is good to hear from you! Yes, some were rather large but as far as I know my home is okay! Had a new roof put on a few years ago and shouldn't be damaged! Don't know about my 91 Toyota parked in the driveway but it has other dings and scrapes on it, so doesn't matter much if it is damaged, as long as it gets me there and back! :blink: :angel: Ma Betty
