Here is a good Thanksgiving recipe that we make each year.

Kahlua Candied Yams

Pam found this recipe a long time ago and we always make it every year for Thanksgiving.

1 can (19 oz. size) yams, drained
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup brown sugar. Well packed. (Dark Brown tastes best IMHO.)
1/4 cup Kahlua liqueur

Cut yams into serving size pieces. Melt butter and sugar in a heavy skillet.
Add Kahlua and cook for 1 minute. Add yams to butter and turn to coat all sides.
Cover, reduce heat to low and cook for about 15 minutes.

It's a very simple recipe to make and taste very good!!!
Don't worry about the alcohol as it cooks out very quickly, just leaving the great Kahlua taste.

Enjoy,

Butch Turner
